Premier League club West Ham United are preparing an offer of more than €10 million for Inter Milan attacking midfielder Valentin Carboni.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews.

Teenage attacking midfielder Carboni has only been playing around a half a season of regular senior football.

The Argentine international had spent last season as part of Inter’s senior team.

However, he found appearances hard to come by with the Nerazzurri. Naturally, the competition and expectations were high.

Therefore, Inter sent Carboni out on loan for the current season.

The teenager joined Monza last summer.

The Brianzoli signed Carboni on a season-long loan deal. And it is just a one-year dry loan, with no purchase option on the part of the Lombard club.

Inter wanted Carboni to gain experience and playing time to find his feet in the senior game.

However, the Nerazzurri had absolutely no intention of losing control of Carboni on a long-term basis.

Reports even suggest that Inter see Carboni as part of their own first-team project in the near future. Potentially even as soon as next season.

However, a Premier League club has already tried to test Inter’s resolve regarding Carboni.

Recent reports have linked Premier League club West Ham with a prospective move for the Argentine.

And the Corriere has further confirmed the Hammers’ interest.

The newspaper report that last season’s Europa Conference League winners are ready to put a big on the table in excess of €10 million.

However, the likelihood of Inter accepting an offer in that region would be essentially none.

The Nerazzurri see Carboni as being worth far more than that.

Therefore, Inter will not accept an offer from West Ham at the valuation the East London club are hoping for.
