Fiorentina have offered Inter Milan €20 million for attacking midfielder Valentin Carboni, but the Nerazzurri have no interest in selling.

This according to Italian news outlet Gazzetta.it.

Inter met with Carboni’s agent earlier today.

Reports suggested that the purpose of the meeting was to discuss an offer for the 18-year-old from Fiorentina.

La Viola had just met the Nerazzurri on the pitch yesterday. But off of it, the Tuscan club are also interested in potential transfer business.

The Gazzetta confirm that Fiorentina have in fact made Inter a concrete offer for Carboni.

La Viola have put a bid of around €20 million on the table, the newspaper report.

But according to the Gazzetta, Inter have made their response to this offer very clear. They do not consider Carboni to be for sale.

The Argentine remains a player who very much figures in the Nerazzurri’s long-term plans.

Therefore, Carboni will stay on loan at Monza until the end of the season. Then, he could very well have a role in the Inter first team next season.

Fiorentina Offer €20M For Valentin Carboni – But Inter Not Interested In Selling

Fiorentina are far from the only club with an interest in Carboni.

Reports have also named Premier League duo West Ham United and Brentford as suitors for the teenager.

But thus far none of the offers have been close to tempting Inter.

Even Fiorentina’s new offer of €20 million will not be enough to make the Nerazzurri consider changing their minds.

Carboni is currently on loan at Monza.

The Argentine joined the Brianzoli on a season-long loan during last summer transfer window.

It is, however, only a dry loan move with no purchase obligation on Monza’s part.

That is an indication of the extent to which Inter still see Carboni as having a future in their first team.
