Midfielder Stefano Sensi will make the move from Inter Milan to Leicester City after the clubs reached an agreement.

Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews, report that the two clubs revived the stalling transfer with the Nerazzurri to receive €2.5 million for the 28-year-old in the event the Foxes are promoted to the Premier League.

The last day or two has seen a bit of a stall in Sensi’s prospective move to Leicester.

The Foxes have been targeting the former Sassuolo midfielder for much of the January transfer window.

Leicester coach Enzo Maresca, former assistant to Pep Guardiola at Manchester City, has been a driving force in trying to bring Sensi to the King Power Arena.

And in the last week or so, it has seemed as though Inter and Leicester were in total agreement.

The two clubs have been on the same page regarding a valuation for Sensi. The total amount would be around €2-3 million.

However, the exact formula for a deal has been a sticking point.

There has been the possibility of a loan with a purchase obligation, or significant add-ons making up the bulk of the valuation.

The question of whether Leicester reach the Premier League next season would be decisive, considering the significant financial boost that would be.

Stefano Sensi Move From Inter To Leicester To Go Ahead

Recent reports have suggested that Leicester had yet to submit the signed documents necessary for signing Sensi to Inter.

Therefore, the Italian international has not yet travelled to England to complete his move.

But according to Sky, everything is now out of the way.

The two clubs have reached a complete agreement on the terms of a deal.

Leicester will pay Inter €2.5 million in the event that they reach the Premier League next season.

At the moment, the Foxes are top of the Premier League. They enjoy a significant buffer on the promotion playoff spots.
