Inter Milan and Juventus are ready to go head-to-head for the signature of OGC Nice midfielder Khephren Thuram.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews.

22-year-old Thuram has been continuing to grow for each of the past few season.

The Frenchman first made his debut in the Nice senior team during the 2019-20 season.

And in each of the past few seasons, Thuram has further cemented his starting berth for the Ligue 1 side.

Thuram has been a key player for Nice under coaches Christophe Gaultier, Lucien Favre, and now Francesco Farioli.

The 22-year-old has more than played a role as Nice have gotten themselves to second spot in the Ligue 1 table over the first half of the current campaign.

Moreover, last year Thuram made his international debut for France.

The young midfielder received his first cap from Les Bleus coach Didier Deschamps, breaking into the 2022 World Cup finalists’ star-studded midfield – this could prove to be the first of many.

And this has naturally led to transfer interest in Thuram from some of Europe’s heavy-hitters.

Inter & Juventus Ready To Go Head-To-Head For Khephren Thuram

According to the Gazzetta, some of the strongest interest in 22-year-old Thuram’s signature is coming from Serie A.

And that is perhaps no interest. The Frenchman has a family connection to two of the biggest teams in the Italian top flight.

Striker Marcus Thuram plays for Inter.

So the Nerazzurri could try to use this fact to their advantage by signing the 26-year-old’s brother Khephren, making it two members of the family in their squad.

But on the other hand, the two brothers’ father, legendary former defender Lilian, turned out for the likes of Parma and Juventus during his playing career.

Therefore, there would also be the family connection to the Bianconeri.

According to the Gazzetta, both of the Derby d’Italia rivals – who will meet tomorrow in a top-of-the-table clash – are ready to push for Thuram’s signature.
