The father of Inter Milan target Piotr Zielinski has dropped a big hint about his future, confirming he’ll leave Napoli.

Speaking to Polish news service Polska Agencja Prasowa, via FCInterNews, the 29-year-old’s father Boguslav also made clear that the player has also made the decision to stay in Italy.

The rumours about Zielinski’s future have now reached a fever pitch.

The Polish international will leave Napoli at the end of his contract. His deal runs only until the end of June of this year.

And all roads would appear to lead to Inter for Zielinski.

The Nerazzurri have been in talks with the Pole’s representatives.

Inter sensed the opportunity to sign an experienced and high-quality player from within Serie A in the form of Zielinski. And to do so without spending a transfer fee.

The former Udinese and Empoli midfielder is now in his eighth season with Napoli.

Zielinski has won the Serie A title with the Partenopei. He has won the Coppa Italia.

The Pole has been one of Napoli’s key players throughout his time at the club.

But the midfielder’s father has fully confirmed that Zielinski’s story in Naples is over.

Zielinski’s father explained that “I think he has already made a decision. But I don’t want to reveal anything just yet.”

“However, Piotr will leave Napoli and continue to play in Italy,” Boguslav said.

“Piotr has been there since he was sixteen,” the player’s father noted.

“He has a wife and son there. It’s now his second home.”

Zielinski has made a total of 355 appearances for Napoli since 2016.

The Pole has scored a total of fifty goals for the Partenopei, and made 46 assists.

Zielinski remains a Napoli player until the end of the season. However, he’ll not be part of the Partenopei’s Champions League squad.
