There are zero doubts about the transfer of striker Mehdi Taremi to Inter Milan despite his medicals being temporarily postponed.

This according to Sky Sport Italia transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio, via FCInterNews. One way or the other, it looks clear that Taremi’s arrival at Inter this summer will happen.

The 31-year-old has had a complete agreement with the Nerazzurri since last month. And Inter have already informed Taremi’s club Porto of this fact.

Medicals would be chief among these. Taremi must complete his medicals as is the case with any transfer, and then he can put pen to paper on his contract with Inter.

Reports yesterday indicated that those medicals would be today.

Napoli midfielder Piotr Zielinski, in fact, had already underwent medicals ahead of his own summer free transfer.

Taremi was expected in Milano today to undergo his medicals. But that has not taken place.

Zero Worries Regarding Mehdi Taremi Move To Inter Despite Medicals Being Postponed

Taremi had been all set to take a private jet from Porto to Milano to get his medicals out of the way.

But Di Marzio reports that the choice not to see this out as planned was Inter’s.

The Nerazzurri want to be sensitive to Porto’s position, and not have the Portuguese club’s player undergoing his medicals at a time when it is not convenient for his current club.

Porto lost a league match against Arouca yesterday.

And with the Champions League clash against Arsenal coming up, there is a lot of tension.

So the distraction of medicals with a future club for a key player would hardly be welcome.

Inter are willing to respect this. Therefore, they have postponed the medicals for Taremi.

But in no way does that mean that there is any hitch in the plan to sign the Iranian.
