Inter Milan legend Marco Materazzi reveals the best five strikers in the club’s history, and he made sure to include Ronaldo and Adriano.

The 50-year-old spent ten years at Appiano Gentile. During his time at the club, he worked alongside some of the most renowned marksmen in the sport.

The 2006 World Cup hero was asked to rank the top five strikers in the club’s history.

Materazzi opted to pick five former teammates, beginning with Il Fenonemo.

Ronaldo landed first on the retired defender’s list, just ahead of his compatriot Adriano.

“I put Ronaldo in the first place. Then Adriano in second,” said Materazzi in his interview with Goal via FcInterNews.

However, the third name could come as a surprise to many.

Materazzi named his compatriot Mario Balotelli ahead of Diego Milito and Samuel Eto’o.

The notorious Italian broke into the scene as a teenager at Inter, before eventually signing for Manchester City.

While he wasn’t able to fulfill his initial promise, Super Mario still made it to the podium of Materazzi’s ranking, at least until he decides to change his mind.

“I put Mario Balotelli in third place, and finally Samuel Eto’o and Diego Milito. Maybe I should change something, but it’s not a problem.”

Despite playing pivotal roles in Inter’s treble-winning campaign, the Argentine and Cameroonian legends still landed outside the podium.

Moreover, Zlatan Ibrahimovic didn’t even make the Top Five list.

The Swedish giant plied his trade at Inter between 2006 and 2009 before joining Barcelona in a swap deal that saw Eto’o heading in the opposite direction.
