Inter Milan wingback Carlos Augusto urges his teammates to give their best against Salernitana and aim to win every remaining match this season.

The 25-year-old got the nod this evening, replacing Federico Dimarco on the left flank in Simone Inzaghi’s starting lineup.

This encounter pits the Serie A leaders against the team that resides at the very bottom of the table.

Nevertheless, the Brazilian isn’t taking the Granata lightly.

The Southerners have recently sacked their head coach Filippo Inzaghi, replacing him with Fabio Liverani.

Therefore, Augusto believes the managerial change could play in their opponents’ favor.

“We know that when there are coaching changes the teams arrive with a meaner approach,” noted the former Monza man in his pre-match interview with Inter TV via FcInterNews.

“They come to play the match of their lives at San Siro. We must be ready and maintain the same approach regardless of who we are up against.

“We have to play our game to get the three points. They also have experienced players, but we must stay focused knowing that if we play our game we will win.”

Inter Milan Wingback Carlos Augusto Solely Focused On Salernitana Clash

In another pre-match interview with Sky Sport Italia (via FcInterNews), the wingback dismissed all talks about Tuesday’s Champions League encounter against Atletico Madrid, preferring to remain focused on the current task at hand.

“Whoever comes to our stadium will be looking to do well. So it’s up to us to put a good performance.

“We have to approach the match in the best possible way to win.

Atletico Madrid? We have to concentrate on Salernitana now. From now until May, we have to win every game.

“We are Inter and at the end of the season, we aim to win silverware. This is our objective.”
