Inter Milan January signing Tajon Buchanan was delighted to make his club debut during the rampant victory over Salernitana.

The Canadian joined the club in early January due to Juan Cuadrado’s long-term injury.

However, the 25-year-old was still waiting to make his first appearance for the Serie A giants.

Thankfully for the winger, he finally earned his maiden cameo for the club, coming in as a substitute in the second half against Salernitana.

Buchanan replaced Alessandro Bastoni in the 77th minute.

At that point, Inter were already leading by three goals. The hosts ended up adding a fourth through Marko Arnautovic with the last kick of the game.

But for the Canada international, he was just grateful to take part in the action.

The former Club Brugge star describes his Inter debut as a dream come true,

“It’s a dream come true. I’ve been waiting for this moment,” said Buchanan in his post-match interview with Inter TV via FcInterNews.

“I’m happy to have made my debut today. I worked so hard for this. Now I just have to continue on this path.”

While he’s originally a right winger, the Canadian has showcased great versatility during his career, and is willing to interpret all sorts of playing roles for Inter.

“I certainly know how to play in many positions. I am a player who adapts and therefore I want to help the team in any way possible.”

“Since my arrival, the team has been helping me adapt. The coach gives me some advice. I’m happy to be part of this group and I hope we continue to achieve great results.”
