Marko Arnautovic and Davide Frattesi will start for Inter Milan against Lecce, whilst Carlos Augusto will play in the back three.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews. The newspaper anticipates a rotated lineup for the Nerazzurri in the Serie A clash.

On Sunday, Inter will return to Serie A action after facing Atletico Madrid in the Champions League.

And Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi will have to think about managing the fitness of his squad.

The 47-year-old has not necessarily rotated that heavily throughout the season.

For example, last Friday Inzaghi picked virtually his strongest possible starting eleven against Salernitana.

Even facing the team bottom of the league table at home, Inzaghi took no risks with his team selection.

But at that time, Inter had had a week to prepare from their previous match.

This time around things will be a bit different. Inter have one day fewer of rest and training after their match against Atletico, a tiring slog.

And the Nerazzurri will also have to think about a Serie A match against Atalanta. That comes just three days after the match against Lecce.

Arnautovic & Frattesi To Start Vs Lecce – Augusto Starts In Defense

So Inzaghi will ring in the changes against Lecce, reports the Gazzetta.

One change that will be enforced comes in attack. The injury to Marcus Thuram means that Marko Arnautovic will partner Nerazzurri captain Lautaro Martinez from the start.

And in midfield, the Gazzetta reports, there will be big changes.

Davide Frattesi and Kristjan Asllani, who both started against Fiorentina last month, will replace Nicolo Barella and Hakan Calhanoglu in the starting eleven.

Then, in defense, the versatile Carlos Augusto will play on the left.

Therefore, the Brazilian will take the place of Alessandro Bastoni.

The Gazzetta’s complete predicted Inter lineup for Sunday’s match is as follows:

Inter (3-5-2): Sommer; Pavard, De Vrij, Carlos Augusto; Dumfries, Frattesi, Asllani, Mkhitaryan, Dimarco; Lautaro, Arnautovic.
