Wingback Carlos Augusto feels that there is a positive relationship between the players in the Inter Milan squad.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews, after the Nerazzurri’s Serie A win over Lecce, the Brazilian said that the Inter players “are all friends.”

Inter got the result they came for from the Via del Mare.

The Nerazzurri played with a number of changes to their starting eleven. Among these were Augusto and Yann Bisseck playing in defense, taking the place of Alessandro Bastoni and Benmjamin Pavard.

But it mattered little. The Inter starting eleven proved strong enough to get the result.

And then the substitutes helped the Nerazzurri to score even more goals, and see out the match.

This result brings Inter back to nine points clear at the top of the Serie A table, with a game in hand on Juventus.

The Nerazzurri showed that everyone in the squad is ready to contribute.

And Augusto feels that it’s a testament to the way that the players all like being part of the group.

Carlos Augusto: Inter Milan Players “Are All Friends”

Augusto noted that “Regardless of who we’re up against, we know it was a difficult match.”

“I have to congratulate all my teammates,” the Brazilian continued.

“This group is devastating. We’re all friends, and that makes the difference.”

“Even the players who don’t play as much.”

The 25-year-old suggested that “The secret is in the dressing room. It’s all good guys, who all want to grow and learn.”

“We’re all friends. We want to do well for Inter.”

Of his positional versatility, Augusto said that “Flexibility helps a lot.”

“Regardless of the position I’m playing, I want to do well and help my teammates win.”

The Brazilian noted that “I don’t have a favourite position. I just like to play. At Monza I played both roles, and I want to do my best.”
