Inter Milan midfielder Davide Frattesi could resume action as normal against Genoa despite a recent injury scare.

The 24-year-old entered the pitch in the second half against Atalanta on Wednesday, replacing Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

While he managed to head home his team’s fourth goal, he hurt himself in the process, thus had to leave the pitch immediately.

It was later revealed that the former Sassuolo man has suffered a contracture in his right adductor.

But luckily for the Nerazzurri, the midfielder’s injury doesn’t appear to be serious.

In fact, Frattesi had already resumed personalized training yesterday alongside the likes of Marcus Thuram and Francesco Acerbi.

According to Sky Sport Italia via FcInterNews, his condition didn’t even require medical tests.

This suggests that the player has avoided an injury and could be available at Simone Inzaghi’s disposal soon enough.

The source believes that the Italy international could even earn a call-up for Monday’s fixture against Genoa.

The Nerazzurri are hosting the Grifone at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium for a Serie A encounter.

This will naturally depend on his physical condition in the next couple of days.

Inzaghi would certainly cherish this timely boost for the midfield department as he remains without the services of Hakan Calhanoglu and Stefano Sensi.

While he hasn’t always been a starter, Frattesi has cemented himself as an impact substitute for the Nerazzurri.

This season, the Italian has contributed with six goals and five assists across all competitions, with many of them coming off the bench.
