Inter Milan trio Davide Frattesi, Marcus Thuram, and Francesco Acerbi will all be fit to face Genoa, but Hakan Calhanoglu will be absent.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews.

In the last couple weeks, Inter have seen some key players spend some time on the sidelines with injury.

Defender Acerbi has been out with a calf problem since the match against Roma last month.

And no risks have been taken with the former Lazio and Sassuolo defender’s fitness. He has not rushed back to action.

But according to the Gazzetta, Acerbi will be back in full training today.

Yesterday, the 35-year-old intensified his individual fitness training. And today, he should be ready to return to full training with the rest of the squad.

The same is true of Marcus Thuram.

The Frenchman has been out with a thigh problem that he sustained against Atletico Madrdi in the Champions League.

But Thuram should also be back in full training this weekend.

That should mean that both Acerbi and Thuram are ready to be part of the squad against Genoa.

Frattesi, Thuram & Calhanoglu Fit Vs Genoa – Calhanoglu Still Out

Another player who will be called up against the Grifone is midfielder Frattesi.

The 24-year-old had looked a slight risk. He picked up a potential muscle problem during the Nerazzurri’s Serie A win over Atalanta on Wednesday.

However, according to the Gazzetta, this was little more than some muscular fatigue.

And Frattesi should be able to shake that off in time for Monday’s match.

The same cannot be said for former AC Milan midfielder Calhanoglu however.

The Turk is still recovering from a thigh problem.

And Calhanoglu is still working on his recovery. He will not be fit in time for Monday’s match against Genoa.

The aim will instead be to have Calhanoglu back for the following match, away to Bologna.

Inter want the 30-year-old to be back to his best condition for the Champions League second leg clash with Atletico Madrid later this month.
