Alexis Sanchez will start in attack for Inter Milan in tomorrow evening’s Serie A match against Genoa.

Today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, report that the 34-year-old will lead the line for the Nerazzurri alongside Lautaro Martinez.

Sanchez has gotten somewhat more playing time in Inter’s last couple matches than he has for much of the league season.

The former Arsenal, Manchester United, and Barcelona veteran has not been a regular starter by any means since his unexpected return to the Nerazzurri last summer.

But an injury to Marcus Thuram has handed Sanchez a few opportunities.

The Chilean started for Inter against Lecce last weekend. And then, the 34-year-old also came off the bench against Atalanta.

It was an impressive display from Sanchez against Lecce in particular. He capped off a polished display with an assist for midfielder Davide Frattesi.

And then Sanchez assisted Frattesi again, this time from a set piece, against Atalanta.

Alexis Sanchez To Start For Inter Vs Genoa

According to the Corriere, Sanchez will be back in the lineup against Genoa tomorrow.

Marko Arnautovic had started for Inter against Atalanta in Thuram’s absence. But the Austrian will drop out of the team, with Sanchez replacing him.

Meanwhile, Nerazzurri captain Martinez will retain his spot in attack.

Elsewhere in the team, the Corriere predicts that Denzel Dumfries will start on the right flank for Inter.

And on the left of the defense, the versatile Carlos Augusto is expected to start. The Brazilian will fill in for Alessandro Bastoni whilst the latter serves a one-match suspension.

And all of Thuram, Francesco Acerbi, and Davide Frattesi will be fit enough to make the bench.

The Corriere’s complete predicted Inter starting eleven for the match is as follows:

Inter (3-5-2): Sommer; Pavard, De Vrij, Carlos Augusto; Dumfries, Barella, Asllani, Mkhitaryan, Dimarco; Sanchez, Lautaro.
