All of Marcus Thuram, Hakan Calhanoglu, and Francesco Acerbi will be back in the Inter Milan starting eleven against Bologna.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews.

Inter are getting a number of key players back from injury at a crucial stage of the season.

Striker Thuram had picked up a thigh strain during the Nerazzurri’s Champions League round of sixteen first leg win over Atletico Madrid last month.

The Frenchman missed two matches whilst recovering from his injury. He was not part of the squad for matches against Lecce or Atalanta.

But Thuram made his comeback against Genoa on Monday.

The 26-year-old came off the bench during the second half of that match.

Meanwhile, another player who came off the bench against Genoa was defender Acerbi.

The veteran former Lazio and Sassuolo defender had missed a month due to a calf problem which he had suffered during Inter’s Serie A win away to Roma in February.

Thuram, Calhanoglu & Acerbi To Start For Inter Vs Bologna

Both of Thuram and Acerbi had made their comebacks from the bench against Genoa. But they will do one better this evening against Bologna.

Tuttosport anticipate that both of the duo will be in the starting eleven.

That will mean that Stefan de Vrij drops out of the lineup to make way for Acerbi in defense. And Thuram could partner either Marko Arnautovic or Alexis Sanchez in attack, giving Lautaro Martinez an opportunity to rest.

Meanwhile, one player who is only just coming back from injury is midfielder Calhanoglu.

The 30-year-old former AC Milan and Bayer Leverkusen has missed Inter’s last three matches due to a thigh problem.

But Calhanoglu will not be getting his return as a substitute. Rather, he will come straight back into the Nerazzurri starting eleven.
