The agent of Lautaro Martinez reiterates his client’s joy at Inter Milan while commenting on the latest contract talks.

The 26-year-old suffered a heartbreaking experience on Wednesday night in the Champions League clash against Atletico Madrid.

The Argentine stepped up to take his side’s fifth spot kick in the penalty shootouts but shockingly sent his shot high.

But while the striker endured a miserable evening in the Spanish capital, his agent reportedly found more success during the day.

Alejandro Camano held a meeting with the Inter directors in Madrid. The two parties reportedly found a breakthrough in the negotiations, the club agreeing to raise the offer.

Today, the agent only had words of praise for the club. He applauds the Nerazzurri for their attractive playing style.

I think what happened this week is very important. But there could be repercussions in the Inter world,” said Camano in his interview with CalcioNapoli24 via FcInter1908.

“But I am very impressed by the team’s playing style. I think that they are the best in Italian football now.”

Alejandro Camano Insists Lautaro Martinez Is Happy At Inter Milan

On another note, the agent believes Martinez has the mental strength to recover from his recent setback.

“Lautaro is very strong mentally. He understands that setbacks are a part of football.

“There is a big disappointment, but he is happy at Inter where he feels like a true leader of this team. He feels the responsibility.

“After the disappointment with Atletico, he knows that he must aim for the next objective. Next season, he’ll try to win the Champions League again.”

Regarding renewal talks, Camano insists that the two parties remain serene with two years left on the player’s contract.

“Lautaro is enjoying an excellent moment, a golden one in the Inter team and he still has two years left on his contract.

“Today, we share great relations with the club, I have old ties to Inter having been Hector Cuper’s agent.

“In truth, our relations remain good. We are calmly negotiating as we have another two years on the contract. Lautaro knows that the most important thing today is Inter.”
