The agent of defender Stefan de Vrij has confirmed that the Dutchman is keen to stay at Inter Milan for the foreseeable future.

De Vrij’s agent Federico Pastorello spoke to Italian broadcaster Radio Sportiva, via FCInterNews. He also updated that Francesco Acerbi could extend his contract with the Nerazzurri.

At the moment, de Vrij is under contract with Inter until the end of June 2025.

The Dutchman signed an extension last summer.

De Vrij had actually been nearing the end of his prior deal. It had run out at the end of June 2023.

But de Vrij made the decision to stay at Inter rather than leave on a free transfer.

This is now the 32-year-old former Lazio and Feyenoord defender’s sixth season in a Nerazzurri shirt.

De Vrij has won the Serie A title, two Coppa Italia, and three Supercoppa Italiana trophies with the club so far.

The Dutchman has also helped Inter to reach the Europa League and Champions League finals.

Agent: Stefan De Vrij Wants To Stay At Inter Milan

De Vrij’s decision to sign a new contract with Inter last summer rather than leave to join a different club reflected the fact that he is happy with where he is.

And according to the Dutchman’s agent, little has changed in how he feels.

Pastorello noted that “He extended his contract this season. And he still has a way to go on it, his plan is to stay.”

“For both him and for Acerbi, I foresee a future at Inter,” the agent noted, including another of his clients.

And regarding Acerbi, Pastorello said that “Acerbi is under contract with Inter until the end of June 2023.”

“I don’t rule out that he could extend his contract too.”

“He’s happy at Inter,” the agent said of Acerbi. “With the whole group, and with the coach Inzaghi.”
