Ultras of Napoli have responded to the verdict that Inter Milan’s Francesco Acerbi did not racially abuse Juan Jesus with a scathing banner.

The Partenopei ultras hit out at the “hypocritical system” in the banner after yesterday’s verdict that the Nerazzurri defender was not guilty of racially abusing their player.

Yesterday, Sporting Judge Gerardo Mastrandrea gave his verdict in the alleged racial abuse case involving Acerbi and Jesus.

The Judge had considered all evidence collected by the prosecutors’ office of the Italian FA.

Prosecutor Giuseppe Chine had questioned both Acerbi and Jesus to get their respective versions of events.

And Chine had also looked for any other evidence – video, audio, or testimonies from other players – that could shed light on the situation.

And, based on the evidence, Mastrandrea found Acerbi not guilty.

Napoli Ultras Hit Out At “Hypocritical System” Following Francesco Acerbi Not Guilty Verdict

Following Mastrandrea’s verdict yesterday, Napoli released an official statement condemning the verdict.

The Partenopei’s statement said that “We’re stunned” that the Judge did not find Acerbi guilty.

The Campanian club gave a message of support to their player Jesus.

The Brazilian former Inter and Roma defender has been absolutely vehement in his allegations against Acerbi.

Jesus has claimed that Acerbi used a racial slur during an argument on the pitch. He also claimed that the Inter defender apologized afterwards.

And the 32-year-oold responded to Acerbi’s subsequent denials angrily.

Jesus made a post on social media in which he accuses the Italian international of lying and changing his story after his apology on the pitch.

Now, the ultras of Napoli have joined the club in reacting to the verdict.

And the ultras’ message is if anything an even harsher one than that which came through the official statement.

Napoli ultras hung a banner which reads, “Hypocritical system… Acerbi is your emblem!”
