Udinese defender Jaka Bijol sends a stern message to Inter Milan ahead of their upcoming Sere A fixture on Monday.

The Zebrette will host the Nerazzurri at the Blue Energy Stadium in the closing curtain of the 31st round.

Naturally, Simone Inzaghi’s men will be the favorites to prevail over the Friulians. After all, Inter are leading the runaway leaders while Udinese are embroiled in a relegation scrap.

Gabriele Cioffi’s side currently sits 14th in the standings, only three points above the relegation zone. They are also enduring a major attacking crisis.

Nevertheless, Bijol believes Udinese’s dire status could play to their advantage.

He warns the Nerazzurri that he and his teammates are hungry for a result so they’ll be keen to leave it all on the pitch.

“We’re Hungry. We need points to secure salvation,” notes the Slovenian in his interview with Tuttosport via FcInterNews.

“At this point in the season, the identity of our opponent doesn’t matter. Winning is all that matters now.

“We tried in Reggio Emilia against Sassuolo and will try again against Inter. Little changes for us because we know that at the end of the season, every match can be an opportunity to earn three points.”

Udinese Defender Jaka Bijol Targeting A Positive Result Vs Inter Milan

The 25-year-old believes that Udinese must work on derailing Inter’s collective play rather than focusing on individuals.

“We can stop Lautaro Martinez and Thuram by working as a team. But it’s not just the two of them.

“Inter this year is the strongest team in Italy and plays very well. We should all stay on track. But I’m sure that we will put on a solid show.”

Bijol also recalled last season’s fixture when he helped his team secure a famous 3-1 win over Inter by scoring a goal.

“I scored a goal and it was a good one too. This was one of my first matches after arriving in Italy.”

This season, the defender missed three months of action due to a Scaphoid fracture before making his return to the pitch in March.
