Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi is reportedly pondering on whether to start Henrikh Mkhitaryan against Cagliari or leave him on the bench.

The Nerazzurri will be looking to collect a routine win over the Sardinians when they host them this Sunday.

A victory for Inter this weekend would allow them to clinch the Scudetto title in their following fixture, which happens to be a Derby della Madonnina showdown against AC Milan.

So according to La Gazzetta dello Sport via FcInterNews, Inzaghi remains coy on Mkhitaryan who is one booking away from suspension.

The Armenian was the main protagonist in the first Derby of the season. He scored two goals and provided an assist in the 5-1 demolition of the Rossoneri.

Therefore, the Inter boss could opt against risking the veteran against Cagliari, thus giving the nod to Davide Frattesi.

Nevertheless, GdS maintains Mkhitaryan as the favorite to start alongside Nicolo Barella and Hakan Calhanoglu in midfield.

At the back, Yann Bisseck should get his chance while Benjamin Pavard serves a one-match ban. The German will link up with Francesco Acerbi and the returning Alessandro Bastoni.

The Italian duo of Matteo Darmian and Federico Dimarco should maintain their slots on the wings.

Finally, Inzaghi will have to decide who will join Marcus Thuram in attack, with club captain Lautaro Martinez suspended.

The pink newspaper considers Alexis Sanchez as the favorite to start ahead of fellow veteran Marko Arnautovic.

Inter Probable XI (3-5-2): Sommer; Bisseck, Acerbi, Bastoni; Darmian, Barella, Calhanoglu, Mkhitaryan, Dimarco; Thuram, Sanchez.
