Matteo Darmian will start on the right flank for Inter Milan against Cagliari tomorrow, while Davide Frattesi could start in midfield.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews.

Inter coach Simone Inzaghi is firming up his ideas for the starting eleven for tomorrow’s match.

The coach will have a couple enforced changes compared to the lineup that faced Udinese last Monday.

Both captain Lautaro Martinez and defender Benjamin Pavard will be missing through suspension.

Therefore, Tuttosport report, Alexis Sanchez and Yann Bisseck will start in their places respectively.

But there will also be one other notable change that will not be down to injury or suspension. It will come on the right flank.

Darmian To Start For Inter Vs Cagliari – Frattesi Could Also Start

Both Darmian and Denzel Dumfries have started a significant number of matches at right-wingback this season for Inter.

That flank is perhaps the least settled one in Inter’s first-choice eleven.

It had been Netherlands international Dumfries who started on the right against Udinese.

However, Tuttosport anticipate, Dumfries will drop out of the starting eleven tomorrow.

Instead, it will be the versatile Darmian who starts.

The 34-year-old former Manchester United and Parma veteran is capable playing on either flank, as well as on the right of the back three.

Meanwhile, Tuttosport report, Davide Frattesi could get a chance to start tomorrow.

The 24-year-old has not been a regular starter in his first season at Inter. That has not kept him from making an impact, however, as his stoppage time winner against Udinese as a substitute showed.

Tuttosport report that Inzaghi is thinking of keeping Henrikh Mkhitaryan out of the starting eleven tomorrow.

The 35-year-old is one booking away from suspension. And the following match is the derby against AC Milan.

Therefore, if Inzaghi does not want to risk Mkhitaryan, then Frattesi could start tomorrow against Cagliari.
