Juventus are ready to join Inter Milan and Tottenham Hotspur in the race to sign Genoa forward Albert Gudmundsson.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews. The newspaper anticipate that the Bianconeri could use a player-plus-cash offer to sign the 26-year-old.

Gudmundsson has certainly been one of the breakout stars of the Serie A season.

The 26-year-old’s goal from the penalty spot against Fiorentina took his total for the season to thirteen in Serie A. He has also assisted a further three goals.

Gudmundsson has also shone in terms of his versatility.

The Icelandic international has proven adept at playing in a midfield role or a purely attacking position.

Therefore, the sense is that Genoa will have a hard time keeping hold of Gudmundsson this summer.

Juventus Aiming To Beat Inter & Spurs To Sign Albert Gudmundsson

Inter have been the team strongly linked with a move for Gudmundsson.

Reportedly, the Nerazzurri want to add one more big attacking signing to their squad. And they see Gudmundsson as the ideal profile, considering there is not really a similar attacker in the squad at the moment.

Meanwhile, Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly keen on bringing Gudmundsson to the Premier League.

But Tuttosport report that Juventus are also extremely keen to sign the former AZ Alkmaar forward.

And the newspaper anticipate that the Bianconeri could feel they have the right strategy to sign Gudmundsson.

Naturally, the price tag for Gudmundsson will be high, considering the player’s form and the big club interest.

But Juventus could look to trump Inter, Spurs, and any other suitors with a player-plus-cash offer.

The Turin giants could specifically offer midfielder Enzo Barrenechea as part of a deal for Gudmundsson.

Genoa are likely to refresh their aging central midfield options this summer. And Barrenechea has been having an eye-catching season in Serie A on loan with Frosinone.

Therefore, the opportunity to bolster their ranks with the signing of the 22-year-old could prove tempting to the Grifone.
