Inter Milan legendary striker Aldo Serena feels the Derby della Madonnina will be more vital from AC Milan’s standpoint.

The Nerazzurri will celebrate the Serie A title with a victory over their crosstown rivals on Monday. They would also unlock the second golden star after taking their all-time tally to 20 Scudetto titles.

Yet, Serera argues that the Rossoneri will have more to play for, especially following their most recent results.

“For Inter, the Scudetto is a matter of when rather than if,” said the 63-year-old in his interview with Mi-tomorrow via FcInterNews.

“Therefore, I believe Milan have more pressure over their shoulders. It would be devastating for them to see their rivals celebrating the league following their defeat.

“As for Inter, it doesn’t make a big difference.”

Serena represented Inter, Milan and Juventus among other clubs during his illustrious career. He won the Scudetto title with all three Italian giants.

The former Italy striker also belittles the importance of Inter’s five-match winning streak in the Derby. Instead, he feels every match has its own circumstances.

“What happened two years ago no longer exists in the players’ minds. What matters is here and now.”

“From the 3-0 victory over Napoli away from home and onwards, it was clear that Simone Inzaghi’s men are serious.

“They found the right system that allowed them to keep winning and in a ferocious fashion.”
