Steven Zhang is ready for the Inter Milan Serie A title party – whether it comes after the derby against AC Milan or not.

The Nerazzurri President fired up the troops ahead of tomorrow’s derby clash in a video conference call, as reported by Gazzetta.it.

The anticipation is building at Inter.

In just over 24 hours, the Nerazzurri will play their second derby of the season. And it will give them a massive opportunity.

If Inter beat city rivals Milan, then they will clinch the Serie A title.

That would be the first time in history that either of the two derby rivals had actually wrapped up the title in a match against the other.

Of course, there is absolutely nothing for Inter to take for granted.

The Nerazzurri may have won the last five derbies against Milan in all competitions.

But the Rossoneri are still second in the table. They have quality, and just as much motivation as Inter do – to stop their city rivals from celebrating the title right under their noses.

Moreover, the derby is always a match in which the form table gets ripped up.

Matches between Inter and Milan are intense affairs with a penchant for going off script, no matter what the league table looks like and which trophies there are to fight for.

Zhang Charges Up The Troops: ‘If We Don’t Clinch Serie A Vs AC Milan, Then Soon’

If Inter fail to clinch the title against their city rivals, then they will still have a few more opportunities to do so.

The Nerazzurri face the likes of Torino, Sassuolo, Frosinone, Lazio, and Hellas Verona.

Of course, the likelihood of Inter failing to win any of those matches – and Milan winning out the rest of their season at the same time – would be essentially nonexistent.

Inter President Zhang told his players, “There’s no need to motivate you for a debry.”

“I just want to thank you for what you’ve accomplished so far.”

“Tomorrow, play the match to enjoy it,” added the Nerazzurri President. Because if it doesn’t happen tomorrow, it will happen soon.”

“You’ve all had an extraordinary season, so when the triumph finally comes it will be beautiful.”

“For all of you, and in particular for those of you who have never tasted this kind of victory,” Zhang said.

The Inter President added that “I hope that this is the first in a long series of triumphs.”

“Good luck to everyone.”

“If it happens in the derby, then always uphold Inter’s values,” Zhang said, anticipating the celebrations. “Sportsmanship and respect for the opposition.”
