Sporting Director Piero Ausilio has given some big updates regarding Inter Milan’s plans for the summer transfer window.

Ausilio spoke to Italian broadcaster DAZN, via FCInterNews, confirming that two players are already set to arrive.

Inter are only just celebrating the Serie A title for this season.

But off the pitch, the club can hardly rest a moment. The work is always going on to build the team for the future.

And in the coming weeks, that will mean the summer transfer window kicking into gear.

The Nerazzurri have reportedly already secured two major signings on free transfers – Piotr Zielinski from Napoli, and Mehdi Taremi from Porto.

And the club’s Sporting Director Ausilio has all but confirmed that.

However, those certainly won’t be the only two arrivals this summer.

There are already links with big names from Serie A like Albert Gudmundsson and Alessandro Buongiorno.

Much of the rest of Inter’s summer will depend on the budget, however.

Ausilio: Inter Have Already Made Two Summer Sigings

Asked about the club’s plans, Ausilio said that “Maybe we jumped the gun and signed players too fast.”

“Now we can’t expect quite as many this summer. But we’ve already made two signings.”

“Now, we’ll have to wait and see what the budget will look like.”

“We’re used to working in this situation,” Ausilio continued. “It’s not as tricky as it looks from the outside.”

“There’s nothing wrong with starting out a season in this situation.”

Ausilio also gave a word to the work of the Nerazzurri’s scouts. “I dedicate this title to them,” he said.

“If Marcus Thuram is at Inter now, it’s thanks to all their work and planning over the past two years.”

Meanwhile, Ausilio also joked about why he was looking a little sore after the title celebrations.

“I strained my calf when I was running to go celebrate,” the Sporting Director said with a smile.

“I’ll be out for around two months. Season over.”
