Inter Milan could aim to reach the €60 million asking price of Bologna for striker Joshua Zirkzee with sales this summer.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews.

Inter are starting to ramp up their preparations for the summer transfer window.

And according to the Gazzetta, signing a striker will likely be one important move that the Nerazzurri intend to make.

Inter already have the first-choice pairing of Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram in attack.

Alexis Sanchez will depart at the end of the season. And it remains to be seen whether or not Marko Arnautovic stays another season at the club.

Meanwhile, Joaquin Correa will in all likelihood be on his way out – even if Marseille are not forced to sign the Argentine on a permanent basis when his loan ends.

Meanwhile, Mehdi Taremi will also be coming in. The 31-year-old Iranian international is signing on a free transfer from Porto.

Inter Could Try To Fund 60M Move For Joshua Zirkzee With Sales

According to the Gazzetta, Inter would not necessarily see Martinez, Thuram, Taremi, and Arnautovic as a sufficient attacking corps.

The Nerazzurri would aim to sign one more forward.

And according to the Gazzetta, Inter’s plan would not simply be to go for a low-cost, opportunistic signing in order to make up the numbers.

Rather, Inter want to sign a player with quality for both the present and future.

Former Bayern Munich striker Zirkzee has shone for Bologna this season.

Therefore, the Gazzetta anticipate, Inter could aim to sign the 22-year-old.

But there is one extremely clear obstacles – the price tag. The Rossoblu will want no less than 60 million for Zirkzee based on his form this season.

According to the Gazzetta, though, Inter could aim to raise the cash for a move with sales.

These could include that of attacking midfielder Valentin Carboni. Inter would expect at least 30 million for the 19-year-old.

Meanwhile, there is also midfielder Giovanni Fabbian.

Fabbian joined Bologna from Inter last season. However, the Nerazzurri have a buyback option on the 21-year-old active next summer.

And that buyback option could play into negotiations between Inter and Bologna for Zirkzee, anticipates, the Gazzetta.
