Simone Inzaghi and the Inter Milan club directors will meet tomorrow for a decisive summit for their summer transfer strategy.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews.
The 2023-24 season has just ended for Inter. But off the pitch, there’s little time for the club to rest and catch their breath.
The Nerazzurri have been formulating their plans for the upcoming transfer window for some time now.
And tomorrow will be the meeting that is most important in setting the transfer strategy in stone.
Simone Inzaghi & Inter Milan Directors To Have Summer Transfer Summit Tomorrow
Yesterday, Inter coach Simone Inzaghi met with representatives of new club owners Oaktree Capitals.
The fund’s representatives made clear to the coach their plans and ambitions for the Nerazzurri.
And tomorrow, it will be the turn of CEO Beppe Marotta, Sporting Director Piero Ausilio, and Assistant Sporting Director Dario Baccin to meet with Inzaghi.
The four men, as they have done in each of the last three summers, will sit down to talk about what the plans are for next season, and how to get there in the summer transfer window.
The priority will largely be to keep the existing squad intact.
Inzaghi will want as few departures as possible. Particularly among players who started regularly as Inter won the Serie A title in dominant fashion this season.
Nevertheless, there will of course be players leaving as there always are.
And Inter will make a handful of signings – even if it won’t be like last summer when twelve players left and twelve came in to replace them.
Naturally, Inter can’t precisely plot out their summer window. They could always miss out on targets, change plans for unforeseen reasons, or find unexpected priorities.
But after tomorrow, Inter’s directors will have the broad strokes of their objectives for the summer.
