Inter Milan could move to sign Atletico Madrid striker Memphis Depay on a free transfer this summer.
This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews. The newspaper anticipate that the 30-year-old has come onto the Nerazzurri’s radar now that he won’t be renewing his contract with Atletico.
Depay has been at Atletico for the past season and a half.
The Dutch former Manchester United and PSV striker joined the Colchoneros in January of 2023.
Depay had joined the Colchoneros from Barcelona, whom he had joined in the summer of 2021 from Ligue 1 side Lyon.
As Tuttosport note, Depay is out of contract with Atletico at the end of this month.
And the Spanish giants have decided not to trigger an option to automatically extend the Dutchman’s deal.
Therefore, Depay will be on his way. The 30-year-old will be free to choose his next club.
And Inter are certainly a team who have taken full advantage of free transfer opportunities over the last few years.

Inter are likely to sign one more striker before the transfer window ends.
The Nerazzurri are already bringing in Mehdi Taremi on a free transfer from Porto. The Iranian will essentially take the place of Alexis Sanchez in the squad.
However, Inter want a fifth striker, to bolster the strength in depth ahead of a season where the fixture list will be more demanding than ever.
And the prospect of signing a striker without having to outlay a transfer fee would certainly be an appealing one for the Nerazzurri.
Therefore, according to Tuttosport, Depay has emerged as a possible target for Inter in this respect.
Ironically, it was Dutch international Depay who scored a crucial goal in the Champions League this season.
The former Barcelona and Manchester United man scored the late goal in the round of sixteen tie that forced extra time and a penalty shootout, which saw Inter bomb out of the competition.
