Inter Milan and Marseille are continue to negotiate for the transfer of teenage attacking midfielder Valentin Carboni.

This according to French outlet RMC Sport, via FCInterNews. The outlet report that Marseille coach Roberto De Zerbi is pushing to sign the 19-year-old, who would like to work with the coach.

Ligue 1 side Marseille have come forward as the team with the strongest interest in signing Carboni this summer. At least for the time being.

The Argentine has had no shortage of suitors.

All of Fiorentina, Atalanta, and Lazio are keen on Carboni.

However, it is Marseille who are currently trying to get a deal done to sign Carboni.

Inter & Marseille Continue Negotiations For Valentin Carboni

French outlet RMC Sport report that it is new Marseille coach De Zerbi who is most keen on a deal for Carboni.

The 45-year-old joined the French club this summer, after leaving Brighton and Hove Albion at the end of last season.

De Zerbi sees Carboni as a major target as far as shaping the team in his image starting next season.

And therefore, the French club are serious about trying to sign Carboni.

However, RMC Sport note, Inter certainly will not let the teenage attacking midfielder go for cheap.

The Nerazzurri sent Carboni out on loan to Monza last season. There, he got his first regular experience in senior football.

And Inter hardly want to lose control of the 19-year-old’s future permanently. Even if he does not currently have a place in their first team plans.

Therefore, Inter would only sell Carboni for a very significant transfer fee.

Reports have indicated that the Nerazzurri would expect in the region of 35-40 million for the 19-year-old.

But Marseille are serious about signing Carboni this summer. And the teenager, who is currently with Argentina at the Copa America in the US, would appreciate the move to work with De Zerbi.

Therefore, RMC Sport report, the negotiations between Inter and Marseille are continuing.
