Out-of-favour Man City wingback Joao Cancelo has been offered to both Inter Milan and Juventus.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper La Stampa, via FCInterNews. They report that the Nerazzurri and the Bianconeri are among the options the 29-year-old’s agent has sounded out as he seeks a City exit.

One thing that there’s little doubt about is that Cancelo will not be a Manchester City player next season.

The Portuguese international had a falling out with City coach Pep Guardiola during the 2022-23 season.

This caused Cancelo to leave the Etihad midway through the season. He had a January loan move to Bayern Munich.

Then Cancelo spent last campaign on loan at Bayern.

Now, Cancelo is seeking a new destination away from the English champions. His agent Jorge Mendes is in search of a solution.

And according to La Stampa, both Inter and Juventus are among the teams that Cancelo’s agent has been in contact with.

Joao Cancelo Offered To Inter & Juventus

Cancelo has already played for both Inter and Juventus in Serie A.

The Portuguese spent the 2017-18 season on loan at Inter from Valencia.

Then, in the summer of 2018, Juventus swooped to sign Cancelo on a permanent deal.

The Portuguese international spent just one season with the Bianconeri, however. He was sold to City in the summer of 2019.

According to La Stampa, however, Cancelo would welcome a return to Serie A with either the Nerazzurri or the Bianconeri.

In Inter’s case, they are potentially aiming to sign a wingback in the wake of a serious injury to Tajon Buchanan.

For Juventus, there could be a desire to add quality in the fullback positions for new coach Thiago Motta.

La Stampa report that Cancelo would be willing to reduce his wages in order to join Inter or Juventus this summer.

However, there would still be the matter of a transfer fee. City would expect a fee of around 25 million to sell Cancelo.
