Inter Milan new signing Tomas Palacios has finally had his first training session at the club after resolving all bureaucratic matters.
The Nerazzurri managed to secure the player’s signature at the end of the summer transfer session.
It was an exhausting operation, as it involved two other other clubs. The young defender made his big breakthrough while playing on loan at Independiente Rivadavia who also had the option to buy the player’s contract from Talleres.
In the end, they managed to agree on a transfer fee worth 6.5 million euros that could rise to 11m depending on bonuses.
However, the 21-year-old had to make a swift return to Argentina after signing for the Italian champions.
Palacios returned home to resolve an issue related to his work permit. Inter have been expecting him in Italy since Wednesday, but his plans were delayed.
But according to FcInterNews, the young defender has finally arrived at Appiano Gentile on Friday.
Inter Milan New Signing Tomas Palacios Arrives At Appiano Gentile For Maiden Training Session
The Argentina U20 starlet underwent his first training session under the guidance of Simone Inzaghi, while the majority of the first team is out on international duty
Palacios will act as Alessandro Bastoni’s understudy for the left centre-back role.
But as reported earlier today, the Nerazzurri coach could decide to test his newest signing at the center of the three-man backline.
The youngster will take his time to adapt to Italian football, as Inter don’t intend to rush him into action. After all, Inzaghi decided to omit him from the Champions League squad list in favor of the currently injured Tajon Buchanan.
