Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi has almost finished making his starting lineup decisions for Sunday’s Serie A match against Napoli.
Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews, report that the only remaining doubt for the Nerazzurri coach comes in the centre of the back three.
This weekend, Inter host Napoli in Serie A.
And the clash pits the top two teams in the Serie A table at the moment.
Napoli are currently top of the table, with 25 points. And Inter are just a point behind them in second.
Therefore, the Nerazzurri have the chance to overtake the Partenopei at the top of the table heading into the November international break.
But doing so certainly won’t be easy.
Napoli have been a formidable side in Serie A this season under Antonio Conte. Even if they’re having to recover from arguably their biggest setback so far in the form of a 0-3 loss to Atalanta.
Inter Coach Simone Inzaghi Almost Done Picking Starting XI To Face Napoli
Not too surprisingly, Inter coach Inzaghi is ready to go with more or less his strongest possible starting eleven on Sunday.
That means that in goal it will be Yann Sommer, who’s played every minute so far this season.
Then in the back three, Benjamin Pavard and Alessandro Bastoni should start.
The big question is whether Francesco Acerbi or Stefan de Vrij will be the one to start in the centre of the back three.
In midfield, it will be the usual first-choice trio of Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Hakan Calhanoglu, and Nicolo Barella.
And on the flanks, Italian international duo Federico Dimarco and Matteo Darmian will start.
Lastly, there will be no surprise in attack. Inzaghi will go with the first-choice strike partnership.
That means that captain Lautaro Martinez will lead the line for Inter alongside French international Marcus Thuram.
