The San Siro is once again sold out for Sunday evening’s top of the table Serie A clash between Inter Milan and Napoli.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews.

This Sunday, Inter host Napoli in Serie A.

And it promises to be one of the biggest matches of the entire season potentially.

There are plenty of subplots to this weekend’s match. Antonio Conte, former Inter coach, is returning to the San Siro for the first time since taking over at Napoli.

And Romelu Lukaku will be leading the line for the Partenopei. He has reunited with his former Nerazzurri coach Conte after his dramatic fallout with Inter more than a year ago.

Sunday’s match will see the two most recent champions of Serie A face off.

And there is a strong sense that it could be a decisive moment for this season’s title race as well.

At the moment, Napoli are top of the Serie A table. Then, Inter are just a point behind them in second.

Therefore, the Nerazzurri could have the chance to overtake Napoli at the top heading into the international break.

San Siro Sold Out For Inter Vs Napoli Serie A Clash

It is little surprise, therefore, that the anticipation for Sunday’s match has led to a sell-out crowd at the San Siro.

Inter fans have tended to pack the iconic stadium in recent years.

That has been the case both for the biggest matches and for fixtures that are not as high-profile.

And this season there have already been two massive matches for Inter at the stadium.

The Nerazzurri hosted both AC Milan and Juventus. These proved to have the highest and second highest gate receipts in Serie A history.

The record takings for a single match now stand at 7.6 million from the derby.

And it will once again be the case on Sunday that the San Siro has a full house of spectators.
