Inter Milan have announced that Yann Bisseck has put pen to paper, extending his contract with the club until the summer of 2029.

The German first joined the club in the summer of 2023, completing a transfer from Danish top-flight club Aarhus.

The 23-year-old arrived as a relative unknown but gradually earned himself a reputation as one of the best-rising defenders in Serie A.

Simone Inzaghi deployed the Koln native as a backup for Benjamin Pavard last season. But this term, Bisseck has been earning more playing time.

The Germany U21 star has been proving his worth on both sides of the back three.

Moreover, a recent study identified him as the U23 defender with the highest success rate in duels across Europe.

Therefore, it was only a matter of time before the Nerazzurri rewarded him with a new and improved contract.

After finding an agreement with the player’s entourage, Inter have now announced the new deal with a note posted on the club’s official website.

“FC Internazionale Milano announces that it has reached an agreement for the contract extension of  Yann-Aurel Bisseck.

“The class of 2000 defender will be a Nerazzurri player until 30 June 2029.”

And while the statement doesn’t reveal any figures regarding the salary, Bisseck will certainly earn a pay rise.

As reported yesterday, the new deal will double the German’s salary.

Bisseck was one of the club’s lowest earners with a yearly wage of 750.000 euros. He will now be earning 1.5 million euros per year.

This season, Bisseck has thus far made seven appearances in Serie A. He has also featured in all four of the club’s Champions League outings so far, including three as a starter.
