Marcus Thuram remains fully committed to Inter Milan amid growing speculation linking him with a mega-money transfer to Liverpool.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInterNews, the French striker has reiterated his love for the Nerazzurri despite the Reds’ interest in luring him to Anfield.
Thuram has developed into one of Europe’s most highly rated center-forwards since joining Inter in the summer of 2023.
Beppe Marotta signed the 27-year-old on a Bosman deal after his contract at Borussia Monchengladbach ran out.
Indeed, Inter pipped fierce rivals AC Milan to Thuram’s signature at the 11th hour.
Despite reportedly agreeing on personal terms with the Rossoneri, the France international made a late U-turn.
Instead of joining forces with Stefano Pioli’s side, he opted for the Nerazzurri.
His decision was spot-on.
During his first season at Giuseppe Meazza, he won the Scudetto, forging a formidable partnership with Lautaro Martinez.
In doing so, he has generated interest from numerous top European clubs.
Marcus Thuram Remains Committed to Inter Milan Amid Liverpool Transfer Rumors
Perennial Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain are Thuram’s long-term admirers.
However, Liverpool have recently overtaken Les Parisiens in the race for the Inter talisman.
With Darwin Nunez terminally unable to deliver goals, the Reds contemplate a big-money swoop for the Frenchman.
Thuram’s €85 million release clause makes him one of Europe’s hottest properties.
But the player reportedly has no intention of turning his back on Inter.
After helping France beat Italy 3-1 in Sunday’s mouth-watering UEFA Nations League game, Thuram addressed the media.
He reiterated his love for the club and San Siro, effectively putting transfer rumors to bed.
Yet, Inter would be naive to let his latest statement tuck them into a false sense of security.
The reigning Scudetto holders hold all the aces, though, as Thuram’s contract runs out in 2028.
And since he’s Simone Inzaghi’s first choice in attack, there’s no reason for him to consider leaving Italy.
