Former Nerazzurri defender Antonio Paganin feels that Inter Milan are “beautiful to watch” and utilize “scientific” squad rotation.
Paganin gave his thoughts on his old side in an interview with TuttoMercatoWeb.
On Tuesday evening, Inter got a big win in the Champions League against RB Leipzig.
This was a major statement win for the Nerazzurri. And it was just the latest of many.
Inter have now won four of their opening five matches in the Champions League. They had also drawn away to Manchester City in their opening match in the competition.
Meanwhile, Inter have yet to concede a goal in Europe this season.
In the league, on the other hand, it’s not been as stellar a record. Some shaky defensive performances early on in the season have seen Inter in a tight title race.
Therefore, all of Napoli, Atalanta, Fiorentina, Lazio, and Juventus are vying closely with Inter for the Scudetto.
Antonio Paganin: “Inter Milan Beautiful To Watch, Squad Rotation Is Scientific”
Inter’s win over Leipzig showcased both their fluid high-tempo possession play in attack and then later on in the match, their gritty and organized defending.
And it came after Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi had made a whopping eight changes to the team that had thrashed Hellas Verona over the weekend.
Former Inter defender Antonio Paganin said his old side “have done well.”
“After the 4-4 draw against Juve, they’ve returned to the being solid and practical,” he argued.
“What really catches the eye is the scientific squad rotation,” Paganin said.
“The key to it is managing the energy of the players.”
“There are some teams who can afford to do that and remain at a high level. And others who pay for it.”
“I’m happy with what I’ve seen,” Paganin says of Inter’s style of play.
“They’ve made a huge leap under Inzaghi and they’re solid. It’s beautiful to see Inter play, credit to the club.”
