Inter Milan have completed the transfer of Poland international wingback Nicola Zalewski on loan from Roma.
Inter Milan officially confirmed the Polish international’s arrival. He joins on a six-month loan until the end of the current season, with Inter also having a purchase option.
Inter have decided to dip into the transfer market in January. The Nerazzurri have lost Tajon Buchanan. The Canadian international joined Villarreal on loan.
Therefore, Inter found themselves a bit light in terms of wingback depth.
Without Buchanan there were Federico Dimarco, Denzel Dumfries, Carlos Augusto, and Matteo Darmian – but with the latter two regularly deputizing in central defense.
Therefore, Inter decided to sign a wingback this month.
Inter Milan Complete Transfer Of Nicola Zalewski From Roma
It was Roma wingback Nicola Zalewski who checked all the boxes for Inter.
At 23 years of age, Zalewski is well within the kind of age profile the Nerazzurri are seeking. Club owners Oaktree Capital want to focus on younger players rather than signing veteran players.

Then, Zalewski has the versatility to bolster Inter’s squad. He has both attacking and defensive quality, and can play on either flank.
Meanwhile, Zalewski will not have trouble adapting to Serie A. He has made 84 appearances in the Italian top flight for Roma.
Zalewski’s contract with the Giallorossi had been set to expire at the end of June.
However, the Pole signed a short-term contract extension. This allowed him to go out on loan.
Inter have signed Zalewski on loan until the end of the current campaign. However, they confirm that there is a purchase option for them to sign him permanently at the end of the season.
A graduate of the Giallorossi youth academy, Zalewski made his debut for Roma during the 2020-21 season. He has made 123 appearances for them across all competitions.
Meanwhile, Zalewski is a full international for Poland. He has won a total of 27 appearances for his national team.

Yesterday he really played well he got 7.0 ratings
Really need new player. We lost buchanan and palacios.
Young but ready, Have serie a experience, cheap but have quality, national player, speak italian. Good choice in difficult choice in winter transfer. Good job marotta, ausilio, and bachin.
I saw palacios yesterday and he completely lost. There. Is no doubt that he have great physical and technique. But i think He need to learn intalian,
Oaktree want young player. But it should young player who ready to play in our quality.
Why buy bunch of young player? There is limitation with player go to loan above 22 age player, the limit is 6 players. If you buy a lot of young player, then there age become 23, you have to sell some if you can not use or loan him.
So buy young player that usefull for us. Example, if either one our midfielder go next summer, buy Ricci or Paz. Buy ready young player.
Palacios have physical and technique, but this is serie A, you need have good understanding of tactics. Loan him now is great decision.
I expect Pio Esposito will be great. He have physical and instinct of goal, he also have good understanding of tactics. He have steady grow.
He’s a meh signing. If you just have turned 23 and your contract expires in 6 months, and you haven’t forced a way out and your club don’t offer you a new long term contract at 23 .. it shows you’re not good enough.
He has a chance to prove himself at inter but doubt we will start many games ahead of Dimarco. Not sure if we got rid of Tajon was a good idea since we could dribble past opponents. Time will tell. I hope Zale will do good for us and we sign him because he’s still young and can grow. We should’ve got rid of Aurna since he’s garbage, always have been.
