Hakan Calhanoglu is back fully fit, and will start this evening’s Serie A derby clash between AC Milan and Inter Milan.
This is confirmed by Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews.
The big fitness doubt for Inter heading into today’s derby has concerned Calhanoglu.
The Turkish international is just coming back from injury. He’d picked up a thigh problem in the Supercoppa Italiana final against Milan, and then a separate calf strain.
Hakan Calhanoglu has been back in training since Thursday. However, it has not been certain whether he’d be match-fit for this evening’s match against Milan.
Hakan Calhanoglu Back – Starts In AC Milan Vs Inter Milan Derby
According to Sky, there is no question of Calhanoglu being able to start.
The broadcaster reports that the Turkish international was looking very sharp and physically fresh in training today.

Therefore, Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi will give Calhanoglu the nod in the Inter starting eleven.
That means that Kristjan Asllani will be on the bench.
That is certainly a big boost for the Nerazzurri.
Hakan Calhanoglu is a key player in midfield for Inter.
Moreover, the derby is always a special fixture for the Turk. He spent four years as a Milan player before making the jump across the city divide to join Inter in 2021.
