Nicola Zalewski has received praise for being able to make an immediate impact on his Nerazzurri debut in the derby between AC Milan and Inter Milan.

The player ratings for the Pole across Italian media, via TuttoMercatoWeb, were very positive. He is hailed as “potentially a great signing.”

23-year-old wingback Zalewski only signed for Inter the evening before yesterday’s derby.

The Polish international completed the move on loan from Roma.

Inter had to really rush the signing of Zalewski through. It was not certain whether he’d be able to get up to speed in time to be part of the squad to face Milan.

It was certainly eye-catching to see Nicola Zalewski coming on as a substitute in the derby yesterday.

Just 24 hours earlier, he had not even been an Inter player.

But the Pole produced a fine display in his first ever Nerazzurri performance. And it certainly wasn’t in an easy set of circumstances.

In the end, Nicola Zalewski crowned his performance with an assist for Inter’s last-gasp equalizer.

There is a sense that the 23-year-old has already fit into the team well.

If Zalewski can keep performing like yesterday, he’ll prove to be an excellent piece of business for Inter.
