Kristjan Asllani admitted that Inter Milan dream of winning the Champions League (UCL) title after a 2-0 win at Feyenoord last night.

Speaking to Sky Sport Italia via FCInterNews, the Albania international outlined the club’s European goals.

Manager Simone Inzaghi gave Asllani an unexpected chance to start ahead of Hakan Calhanoglu.

However, the 22-year-old didn’t make the Scudetto-winning manager regret his decision.

Instead, he delivered a reassuring performance in Rotterdam, pulling all the strings in the midfield.

After several substandard showings earlier in 2025, Asllani showed he’s capable of filling Calhanoglu’s shoes.

Meanwhile, Inter steamrolled to another emphatic Champions League victory.

Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram had no mercy, slotting home two sumptuous finishes to silence De Kuip.

Furthermore, the Nerazzurri kept another clean sheet on the grandest continental stage.

Inzaghi’s men have now recorded eight shutouts in nine Champions League outings this season.

As a result, they’re the best defensive team in Europe by far.

Asllani addressed the press after the game, confirming Inter’s desire to win their first Champions League title since 2010.

“The Champions League is an objective,” he claimed. “We don’t hide it.

“We know we’re a strong team, but it’s tough because others are strong too.

“It will be an exciting journey.”

However, Inter won’t let their European aspirations distract them from defending their Serie A crown.

They’ll take on rock-bottom Monza at the San Siro on Saturday, with Asllani urging his teammates to stay focused.

“Now we focus on the league and then on beating Feyenoord at home,” he concluded.

With Calhanoglu’s fitness improving, Asllani could return to the bench on Saturday.

But that’s not a foregone conclusion.

Indeed, Inzaghi may hand the Albanian another start to allow the ex-AC Milan star to regain full fitness.
