Paolo Di Canio has urged Inter Milan to pursue a deal for Newcastle United star midfielder Sandro Tonali in the summer.
Speaking to Sky Sport Italia via FCInterNews, the 56-year-old identified the ex-AC Milan stalwart as a perfect signing for Inter.
Despite his past ties with the Rossoneri, Sandro Tonali has emerged as a potential transfer target for the Nerazzurri.
Indeed, his household status in Italian football has made him an exciting profile for Simone Inzaghi and Beppe Marotta.
Paolo Di Canio Advises Inter Milan to Sign Newcastle United Ace Sandro Tonali

A lengthy nine-month ban for breaching betting rules has plagued Tonali’s career at St James’ Park.
However, he has re-established himself as a permanent first-team fixture under Eddie Howe this season.
Despite his significance to the Magpies’ set-up, Tonali reportedly feels homesick and would favor a Serie A return.
Inter are among the potential candidates to fulfill his wish.
Now, Di Canio told the Nerazzurri to complete this transfer at all costs.
“Marotta outlined the profile of the kind of player they’re looking for – young but experienced, Italian,” the legendary striker said.
“And I’d say there’s an opportunity – not an economic one, but one that could be feasible given the kind of deals they know how to make.
“Plus, he’s an Inter fan. I’m talking about Sandro Tonali, someone who can do it all in midfield.
“For Inter, he would be an investment for the years to come.
“24 years old, already an international, and eager to come back with a strong desire.”
Italian teams are far too poor to afford Tonali sorry
if we have money, we should go after him. perfect replacemen for mhiki. with barela, hakan, n tonali we can have trio that able to rotate/cover each other very well.
who care bout his fav team. he can be melon fans, rube fans i dont care. look at our president hes ex rube leader. conte, acerbi, theyre obvously not inter fans.
He would be a great addition to our squad. Just imagine our midfield if we sign him: Barella-Calanoglu-Tonalli.
We had our chance until Conte chose Vidal over him ♂️
That is true. What a dumb move.
yes, he is a milan fans. dumfries will not happy if he joins.
Thought he was an AC fan? Can’t see it happening… too much money…
Yes, he is a Milan fan. It would dumb to buy him, if we had the funds indeed.
We can exchange him with Frattesi and add some money to it…
He is a Milan fan.
Pirlo is also inter fan.
We have to use the advantage we have over them, and bring him back home! Hire Paratici and Roberto De zerbi for the sporting director and coach respectively! Invest in more experienced and talented young Italians + other targets!! Example: *SPORTING DIRECTOR : Paratici COACH : Roberto De zerbi MIDFIELDERS : Tonalli, Ricci, Arda Guller, Chukuemeka, Nasiru Salihu Skipper(El-kanemi warriors fc/ current Nigerian U20)! DEFENDERS : Coppola, Rovella, Fabian, Comuzzo, De cyper! FORWARDS : Luis Dias, Kudus (Westham), 18yr Mahmud Adams Abubakar R9 (Fc heart Abuja Nigeria AVM)! What a fantastic, strong and formidable new looking line ups ATTACKERS : Leao – Mahmud/ Jovic – Pulisic / Kudus / Luis Dias MIDFIELDERS : Reijnders – Tonali – Ricci – Arda Guller/ Nasiru Salihu Skipper/ Chukuemeka DEFENDERS : Theo /De cyper – Coppola/ Thiaw – Walker/ Comuzzo/ Rovella etc Unstoppable Milan!! New era, Forza Milan!!!!
Carlo Anceloti was a die hard Inter fan in his childhood and his youth, but his proffesional career took him the other ways. Meazza was a AC fan but he made history with Inter. So I don’t care if Tonali is a Milan fan, we can sign him and write history with him.
That is the only realistic option if we are going to sign him.
