Defender Kyle Walker is pushing to return to fitness in time for the Coppa Italia semifinal second leg between Inter Milan and AC Milan.
Today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, report that the 34-year-old will miss Milan’s next couple league matches, but is hoping to be available for the derby.
Defender Kyle Walker is currently on the sidelines with an elbow fracture. He had to undergo surgery on the injury.
Therefore, the Englishman will miss some time as he recovers.
That is certainly a blow for Milan. Walker has been a regular starter for the Rossoneri since arriving on loan from Manchester City during the January transfer window.
Walker had cemented a place for himself as the starting right-back in Milan’s back four.
Kyle Walker Pushing To Be Fit For Inter Vs AC Milan Second Leg

According to Tuttosport, Kyle Walker will miss Milan’s next couple Serie A matches.
That means that the Englishman will be absent for clashes with Udinese and Atalanta.
After that, Milan face Inter in the second leg of a Coppa Italia semifinal tie.
There is everything to play for in that second leg. The first leg ended in a 1-1 draw.
And according to Tuttosport, Walker is pushing to be available for that derby clash. It is, however, far from certain that he will be.
Should Walker miss out, Alex Jimenez would be favourite to start at right-back, reports Tuttosport.
Former Tottenham Hotspur and Barcelona defender Emerson Royal is still absent with injury.
