Antonio Cassano feels that Nicolo Barella and Alessandro Bastoni get “media favouritism,” and that Davide Frattesi should start for Inter Milan.
The former Italy international hit out at the Nerazzurri pair in a scathing tirade on the Viva el Futbol podcast, via FCInter1908.
Legendary former Inter Milan, AC Milan, Roma, and Real Madrid striker Antonio Cassano has never shied away from controversy.
Cassano has embraced the role of contrarian. He has used his podcast appearances as a platform to air his views without any sort of filter.
And as an avowed Inter fan, Nerazzurri players have been frequent targets for the always outspoken Cassano.
And the former striker has returned to lambaste two of Inter’s heroes from their recent Champions League victory away to Bayern Munich.
Cassano: “Barella & Bastoni Get Media Favouritism, Frattesi Should Start For Inter”

Former Inter striker Antonio Cassano hit out, “looking at the way Barella and Bastoni get treated, I’ve never seen that before.”
“I’ve never seen media favouritism for everyone like the kind they get,” he proclaimed.
Cassano’s co-host Nicola Ventola interjected, “but Anto, Barella and Bastoni are great players.”
“Go f*ck yourself, Ventola!” Cassano replied.
“So in the last three years, have you revised your opinion at all on Barella and Bastoni?” asked Daniele Adani to the outspoken former striker.
And Cassano gave his views. “When de Ligt came to Italy, I destroyed him at first.”
“But then I changed my mind about him.”
“I’m not a fan of Kean at Fiorentina,” Cassano went on. “But when he’s having a great season, how can I say no?”
“But when I say I’d start Frattesi ahead of Barella, that hasn’t changed,” he insisted.
“This is the second season in a row Barella has only scored three goals.”
“Then the other player has half the minutes and twice as many goals!” Cassano said.
“Then some idiot says, every time he scores, he seems to be angry with someone!”
“Well thank god for that!” Cassano said of Frattesi. “He never plays. He never gets his fair chance.”
“And as far as Bastoni, as soon as he plays 40-50 metres from goal and has a sensational season I’ll say he’s a top player,” the former striker said.
“But today, for me he’s not that good.”
He’s wrong if he thinks Frattesi should play ahead of Barella. They may play together but Frattesi simply is a defensive liability to play without Barella.
Bastoni is good but not great. He rarely plays 90 minutes and honestly his favoritism is from officials who do not call all the fouls he commits.
Cassano never tracked a player, never defended so that’s why he likes Frattesi.
casano has a big mouth and a small brain can one say that Dino Zoff was not a great player but he has never scored one don’t define a player by his goals but by his quality
