Former Inter Milan star Youri Djorkaeff believes the Nerazzurri have every right to dream big this season.

The Italian champions perhaps pale in comparison to the likes of Real Madrid and Manchester City in terms of star power, but they still boast a formidable squad brimming with quality.

After all, the likes of Lautaro Martinez, Alessandro Bastoni and Nicolo Barella are widely considered amongst the best in the world in their respective positions, even if Antonio Cassano might disagree.

Even video game producers are beginning to acknowledge the quality of this Inter side, thus making the Nerazzurri a more appealing option for gamers. For e-sports fanatics, this is not a small detail, as the slightest of changes in player ratings can make a significant difference, whether for amateurs, professional players, or those who enjoy placing wagers on this eSports betting platform.

Back in the real world, Inter could be on the path towards achieving glorious feats.

Although they haven’t been as dominant as they were last season, Simone Inzaghi’s men are leading the Serie A table. Napoli have been giving them a run for their money, but the Nerazzurri remain the favourites.

Moreover, they are currently in the midst of a Coppa Italia semi-final double header against AC Milan. The two arch rivals settled for a 1-1 draw in the first leg. Hence, a spot in the final is still hanging in the balance.

And most importantly, the Beanamata are negotiating a Champions League quarter-final against Bayern Munich. Inzaghi’s men won the first leg away from home, much to the dismay of the Allianz Arena home crowds.

Youri Djorkaeff Wants Inter Milan To Dream Big

Furthermore, Inter will take part in the first expanded edition of the FIFA Club World Cup. This tournament will take place in the United States between June and July.

Therefore, Djorkaeff urges his former employers to aim high. The Frenchman insists the Nerazzurri have all the makings to compete for every honor.

“A strong team like Inter should aim to win every match,” said the 1998 World Cup winner in his interview with Sport Mediaset via FcInterNews.

“We are at the beginning of April, there are still many things to decide. Inter have a great destiny ahead of them, but there is still a lot to play for.

“Why not try to win everything? Inter have a great team and great confidence, but we have to take it step by step.

“This season, it’s the group that is making the difference. In fact, I like this team a lot.”
