Inter Milan remain firmly in the race for Parma starlet Giovanni Leoni amid growing interest from Barcelona and Juventus.

According to Tuttosport via FCInterNews, the Italian giants keep close tabs on the prodigious defender.

The Nerazzurri missed out on Leoni’s signature last summer.

Indeed, the youngster joined Parma from Sampdoria despite Inter’s attempt to hijack the transfer.

Parma paid around €5 million plus another €3m in add-ons to secure his services until 2029.

However, the defending Serie A champions haven’t lost track of the 18-year-old.

Christian Chivu’s arrival has coincided with Leoni’s rise to stardom.

However, Inter won’t back down from the challenge as they aim to rejuvenate Simone Inzaghi’s defensive options.
