Yann Bisseck has received criticism for his costly late substitute appearance in yesterday’s Serie A loss to Bologna for Inter Milan.
TuttoMercatoWeb note that the German international looked switched-off. He also had a role in Bologna’s late winner, not dealing with a header properly.
Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi decided to throw on defender Yann Bisseck late in the second half of yesterday’s Serie A clash with Bologna.
The decision appeared to be a reaction to a change from Bologna. Winger Nicolo Cambiaghi had come on, and was causing problems with his pace.
Therefore, Inzaghi put Bisseck on as a substitute to defend Inter’s left flank.

However, Bisseck’s substitution seemed to destabilize Inter’s defense at the decisive moment.
The Nerazzurri had just about been keeping Bologna at arm’s length prior to the 24-year-old’s introduction.
However, Yann Bisseck did not have the requisite concentration inside his own penalty area.
And this proved costly as Bologna mounted a late onslaught on the Nerazzurri box.
In the end it was a long throw by Rossoblu left-back Juan Miranda that was the undoing of Inter.
And Bisseck had a lot of responsibility for that. The German failed to track the flight of Miranda’s throw, and was unable to head it clear.
In the end, it was Bisseck’s header which fell to Riccardo Orsolini for a spectacular overhead kick winner.
first it was Correa, then Taremi and Asllani, now him lol. I would never want to blame young talents, but how are we going to win a match if we can’t score? it’s still clear in mind it was bologna that ruined our chance to win the trophy few years ago. our defense was fine, but our finishing was very poor
then any player inter would purchase must not be too tall for the defence and for wing backs – especially left side, should be a pacey and good dribbler.
He feels he has arrived; always bouncing and slow to react in dangerous situations. demarco on the other hand, poor reaction to harry kane’s and orsolini’s shots were costly. it is now clear for the club to arrest these issues urgently.
I won’t blame the kid, I blame Inzaghi for messing around with defenders in critical time, it backfire most of the time, he did it in first Bayern game and we conceded immediately, now he still repeat that mistake, Darmian has been solid whole game.
Overconfidence causes mistakes. With less than two years experience in Serie a and he already thinks he is pro. Remain humble.
And Dimarco what an average player. Ducking instead of blocking the shot could probably cost Inter the title. With that type of defending how can Inter win the Champions league? As of now Dimarco defending is a liability and he should be dropped to second choice left back. All he studying is to look good attacking. Nothing else . Can’t defend and he is a defender? That’s why Conté never wanted him? He lacks alot of qualities and is not on the level of Barella and Bastoni even Darmian. Lacks basic defending skills.
He’s not a defender – he’s a Left Winger being asked to defend, much like Dumfries, who is even worse defensively.
It’s the system,
