Inter Milan midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan is expecting two tough matches in the Champions League semifinals against Barcelona.

The 36-year-old spoke to The UCL Show, via FCInterNews, giving his thoughts ahead of the tie. He made clear that Inter are determined to reach the final.

The Nerazzurri beat Bayern Munich over two legs to book their place in the last four of Europe’s top club competition.

And the Blaugranas, meanwhile, faced German opposition of their own in the quarterfinals. They overcame Borussia Dortmund.

Inter and Barcelona have certainly been among the outstanding teams in the Champions League this season.

Therefore, there is the feel of a real marquee tie to the upcoming clash between the two decorated clubs.

Inter Milan midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan anticipated that “it won’t be an easy tie. Two tough matches”

“Because Barcelona are a young, talented team. But they also have some experienced players.”

Mkhitaryan further predicted that “it will be a very intriguing tie.”

“Particularly because the semifinals and the final are always beautiful matches to play in, and to watch.”

“We hope that we can play to the best of our ability,” the Armenian former Manchester United and Arsenal midfielder then added.

“We want to play to great matches. The first and the second leg.”

Henrikh Mkhitaryan insisted that “we want to try to reach the final.”
