Alfredo Pedulla has given a major update on Inter Milan’s stance regarding strikers Jonathan David and Mehdi Taremi.
The SportItalia transfer market expert revealed the Nerazzurri’s intentions regarding the Canadian and Iranian international in a video on his YouTube channel.
Inter Milan’s attack will be in flux this summer transfer window.
Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram are the main starters, and are hardly likely to leave.
However, Marko Arnautovic and Joaquin Correa should be on their way at the end of their contracts.
Meanwhile, Mehdi Taremi is another player whose future is uncertain.
The Iranian’s uninspiring performances this season make it entirely possible that Inter will look to offload him after just one season at the club.
And in the meantime, there is little doubt that Inter will aim to make at least one major signing in attack.
The Nerazzurri will target a younger striker rather than another veteran.
Therefore, it little surprise that Lille striker Jonathan David – available on a free transfer this summer – has reportedly appeared on Inter’s radar.
Pedulla Reveals Inter Milan Stance On Jonathan David & Mehdi Taremi

As far as David goes, SportItalia transfer expert Alfredo Pedulla anticipate that “he’s definitely a target.”
“But they need him to lower his demands. And they’ll only sign him if that happens.”
“When David looks around and sees what’s available and realizes that no one is willing to give him what he’s asking for, then it’s possible that he’ll lower his demands,” Pedulla predicted.
The SportItalia transfer expert then anticipated that “Inter will have to review the squad.”
“Not a revolution,” he further stated. “But a review of at least three elevenths of the team.”
“That is: sign another wingback, not just focus on Dumfries. Sign a striker. And then see if there are any offers for Taremi.”
Pedulla then noted that “All the people laying into Taremi make me laugh.”
“He may have had a bad season. But I invite you to try and make these arguments with the benefit of hindsight.”
“No one was saying it would go this way last July,” Taremi noted. “There was a consensus of praise around Taremi, Inter, and the signing.”
“He was a great striker who always hit double figures.”
“Whatever happens, they won’t take a loss,” Pedulla noted. “In the sense that they signed a striker who never got off the ground, didn’t give them goals, but who knows, maybe he’ll score a decisive goal in a Champions League semifinal.”
“But in any event, if they sell him on at a profit it’s a capital gain. Because they signed him for free.”

Forgot Luis Henrique on right side as backup for Dumfries 😀
Attack: Lautaro and Thuram stays, the rest should leave. Correa abysmal, Taremi not that uch better, many say he didn’t got enough chances to play, injured and so, but he should have show much, much more. He was brought to be a competition for starting 11, and he wasn’t good enough to be a 4th choice. Arna solid at the end, but he is older, injury prone, so maybe a 4th choice but it’s better to find someone new. David absolute best choice to bring, but it will be hard considering high wages and agent money. As we can’t compete with England clubs for players like Gyokeres who will cost 60+mil we need to turn to cheaper options. Castro will also be expensive, but i don’t think he is worth 30+mil as is his market value. Bad judgement from us that we didn’t go for Retegui as he exploded. Cheaper options for attack that should guarantee us some goals Krstovic, Pavlidis(Benfica), Parrott(AZ), Pepi(Psv), Guessand(Nice), Arokodare(Genk). Of course there are better players, but since we can’t compete in money with other top clubs, or even regular clubs from England these are valid options from us.
Goalkeepers: Leave Sommer as n.1 next season also, Di Gennaro as 3rd choice as he is Inter academy player, so it’s good for CL and sell Martinez as he will never be good enough to be starter for us, hopefully we can recoup what was spent on him, maybe even earn a little. Go for some Italian as backup for example Gollini, Cragno, Leali… Then after that for future n.1 go for Donnarumma, if he doesn’t extend contract with psg, cause he is one of the best in the world. If not him then see how Stankovic or Carnesecchi will improve next season than go for one of them. Good choices are Svilar and Petrovic also.
Wingbacks: Leave Dimarco and Zalewski for next season on left side, Augusto can help out in case of suspension or injury. For right side Dumfries and for backup Semedo(expiring contract) or Bellanova.
Centrebacks: Left side Bastoni and Augusto. If we can get Boscagli for free, then move Augusto on left wb instead od Zalewski. On right Pavard stays, for Bisseck it’s tough to say. Since he came he did improve considerably, but he makes mistakes. Leave him for another season, if he can improve those lapses in judgement we got a defender for next 10 years. As for the middle defenders it’s hard to say. For playing 50+ games in season Acerbi is not up for it even though he played good. De Vrij is good for another season as backup, but we will need first option to be good. Tah would be best option, but it would be extra tough to get him. More realistic option would be Solet, Gila, Bijol, Beukema. They are all on similar level, but if any of them come, they will have to fight for spot in starting 11 with De Vrij.
Forgot to add That we should definitely go for Bertola, for future instead of De Vrij. Send him on loan in team which will fight for mid table of Serie A.
Midfield: Biggest change is needed here, but also hardest to bring quality players as replacements. Barella, Hakan and Zielinski stay. Asllani definitely up for sale, no game improvement since he came, if Inter plays with different formation with att, mid, then Frattesi would be very good option, but we don’t so he is also out (useless in defence, even on centre he is not that good). Mkhitaryan is up for retirement or a team that competes for Europa league, not for us anymore. Sucic should be good, but maybe should be sent for 1 season on loan in another team in serie A, so he doesn’t wound up as Asllani. The only good options for us on free market are Partey and Anguissa, but both very difficult to sign, high wages and Anguissa has an option for mutually extending contract. Paz unrealistic option, many wants Ricci, but in my opinion didn’t have good season and i don’t know if he would be an upgrade for our trio who should leave. Frendrup and Odgaard much better season in Italy, and would be a better choice in my opinion. Taylor(Ajax), Steijn(Twente), Veerman(PSV), Saibari(PSV) would also be good choices and much cheaper, considering it’s hard to buy quality mid without 40+mil.
