Man City coach Pep Guardiola feels that Simone Inzaghi and Inter Milan are “incredible” after their Champions League thriller against Barcelona.
Guardiola gave his thoughts on yesterday’s match in a press conference ahead of his team’s Premier League outing against Wolverhampton Wanderers, via FCInterNews.
Inter Milan and Barcelona played out an instant classic of a Champions League semifinal first leg yesterday.
The Nerazzurri raced to an early lead. Marcus Thuram opened the scoring within the first minute. He found the back of the net with a spectacular backheel.
Then, Denzel Dumfries produced a brilliant overhead kick from a corner to double Inter’s advantage.
However, Barcelona hit back. Lamine Yamal scored a special goal of his own. Then, Ferran Torres finished off an excellent team possession move.
The two teams weren’t finished, however.
Inter Milan regained their advantage, with Dumfries once against scoring from a corner.
Then, a stunning Raphinha long-range hit bounced in off the back of Inter keeper Yann Sommer after deflecting off of the crossbar.
Man City Coach Guardiola Calls Inter & Inzaghi “Incredible” After Barcelona Thriller

Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola commented that “I was surprised at how beautiful the match was.”
“Thanks to matches of this kind, stadiums will never be empty. Our business will grow.”
Guardiola declared that “I can only be grateful for the two Champions League semifinals.”
“Both were incredible. Particularly yesterday’s.”
Meanwhile, the Manchester City coach added that “I think Inter showed once again that they’re incredible.”
“Like they did when we beat them in the Champions League.”
Guardiola outlined the qualities he admires in the Nerazzurri: “They defend well, manage transitions, they’re physical and well-organized.”
The City coach added that “Simone Inzaghi is an incredible coach.”
“Next Tuesday and Wednesday will be two incredible matches. Four fantastic teams, and they deserve to be there.”
He should manage inter milan one day. He used to play for Lecce.
They are very close, Nainggolan , very close and they will win
Bruno, you are right , hundred percent. Inzaghi made the impossible , possible . We are 2 games away from CL trophy and now it is possible. This is his success.
Guardiola considers Inzaghi’s Inter an incredible team but we still have keyboard warriors saying Inzaghi is daft, a clown, has no tactics, etc. I guess they know more about football than one of the most successful managers of all time.
Well said.
Hahaha seriously
But without Lautaro on Tuesday, it might become difficult.. hummmm
I can’t Understand why Guardiola was surprised about the clash. what was he thinking about? Inter isnt a small club, nighter Barca. I tip inter to go thru.
inter has a big history, but this squad and mamagement is not that big in Europe right now. they e
Barca is big, right? Bayern is big, right? So what does that make Inter? Top 4 finish in the CL group stage (2 points away from first place). Knocked out Bayern and tied 3-3 against Barca in their home. Inter was in a CL final two seasons ago and went toe to toe against City (the best team in the world that season). The other two season with Inzaghi saw us get knocked out in the final 16 (2-1 overall against Liverpool who reached the final that year and losing in penalties against Atletico). We won at least one game in both ties. What’s been happening under Inzaghi is not a coincidence. You can call this Inter a big team and there’s no problem at all.
