Hansi Flick says that striker Robert Lewandowski “could be available” for the second leg of the Champions League semifinals bteween Inter Milan and Barcelona.
The Blaugranas coach also updated on the fitness of Jules Kounde and Alejandro Balde in a press conference, via FCInterNews. He furthermore issued a big update on goalkeeper Marc-Andre Ter Stegen.
Inter Milan host Barcelona in the second leg of a Champions League semifinal tie on Tuesday.
And both sides have a couple notable injury worries.
Inter are likely to be without Lautaro Martinez and Benjamin Pavard unless they can race back to fitness.
Meanwhile, Barcelona defender Jules Kounde suffered a knee injury during the first leg against Inter on Wednesday.
Then, talismanic Blaugranas striker Robert Lewandowski missed the first leg through injury.
Meanwhile, left-back Alejandro Balde also missed the first leg. And the Spaniard is also a major doubt for the second leg.
The question now is whether or not the Pole will be able to return for the second leg.

As far as the injuries to Lewandowski and Balde, Barcelona coach Hansi Flick played it close to the chest.
“We’ll have to wait and see how things progress one day at a time,” he said.
“Both are on the right track. But we have to wait and see.”
“The same goes for [midfielder Marc] Casado,” Flick added. “He completed a partial training session today.”
Flick then made clear that “we can’t take any risks.”
“Robert is progressing very well, better than we expected. We’ll see.”
The Barcelona coach called Lewandowski a “great professional,” adding that “he always works hard to be at 100%.”
“He could be back on Tuesday,” Flick hinted.
The Blaugranas coach added that “we saw against Inter that players like Kounde can get injured.”
“We have to listen to the medical staff’s opinions,” he added. “To determine which players need to rest.”
“The decisive weeks are on the way. And obviously we’ll have to rotate.”

Meanwhile, Barcelona coach Flick also confirmed that goalkeeper Marc-Andre Ter Stegen will receive playing time in tomorrow’s league outing against Real Valladolid.
“I think it’s a good thing for goalkeepers to get a few minutes of rest,” the coach said.
“The same goes for Tek [keeper Wojcjech Szcesny]. Marc is on the right track, and his performances in training have been fantastic.”
“I don’t think I’ll make a change there before the end of the season. But I could. That’s how things are.”
Flick made clear that “tomorrow [against Valladolid] Marc will play.”
